Parvela has an absolute zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any form of child exploitation. Violations result in immediate, permanent account termination and mandatory reporting to law enforcement.
Parvela is a platform exclusively for adults seeking meaningful, serious relationships. The safety and protection of children is a non-negotiable foundation of everything we build. This policy outlines our concrete commitments, the systems we operate, and the actions we take to keep minors safe.
01
Our Commitment
Parvela is designed and operated exclusively for users aged 18 and above. We are deeply committed to ensuring no minor can access, use, or be exploited through our platform — and that no harmful content involving children can exist on it.
This commitment is operationalized through four pillars:
Prevention
Age gates, identity verification, and design choices that block minors from accessing the platform.
Detection
Proactive moderation systems that scan for prohibited content and flag suspicious behavior patterns.
Response
Swift, permanent enforcement actions against any user found violating this policy — no warnings, no second chances.
Reporting
Mandatory reporting to law enforcement and child protection organizations for any confirmed CSAM or grooming activity.
02
Prohibited Content & Conduct
The following are strictly and unconditionally prohibited on Parvela. Any account found to be involved in these activities will be permanently banned and reported to the relevant authorities:
Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any image, video, text, or other content that sexually depicts, suggests, or exploits a minor in any way.
Grooming: Any communication designed to build trust with or manipulate a minor for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
Solicitation: Attempting to obtain sexual content from or arrange sexual contact with a minor.
Trafficking: Facilitating, advertising, or participating in the trafficking of minors for any purpose.
Underage misrepresentation: Creating a profile as a minor, or fabricating an adult age to contact minors.
Sharing links or references to platforms, websites, or external content that contains CSAM or promotes child exploitation.
Fetishization of minors through text descriptions, fictional narratives, or any other medium, regardless of whether real children are depicted.
There are no exceptions to these prohibitions. Artistic intent, fictional framing, or claimed consent do not constitute valid defenses.
03
Age Verification & Minimum Age
Parvela requires all users to be 18 years of age or older. We enforce this requirement through multiple layers:
Date of birth collection at registration: Users must enter their date of birth during signup. Accounts registered with a date of birth indicating the user is under 18 are automatically rejected.
Face verification: Every user must complete a video selfie verification step. Our system and moderation team review this to confirm the person appears to be an adult. Accounts that appear to belong to minors are flagged for immediate review and suspension.
Ongoing behavioral monitoring: Our moderation team reviews flagged accounts and conversations. Any indication that an account may belong to a minor triggers an immediate review and account freeze.
Community reporting: Users can report accounts they suspect may belong to a minor. Every such report is reviewed as soon as possible, with a target of 24 business hours.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has created an account on Parvela, please contact us immediately at support@parvela.app. We will investigate and remove the account as quickly as possible, with a target of 24 business hours from a confirmed report.
04
Moderation Systems
We operate a multi-layered moderation infrastructure to detect and respond to violations in real time:
Proactive content scanning:
Profile photos and verification videos are screened against known CSAM hash databases using industry-standard detection tools (PhotoDNA and equivalent).
Images uploaded by users are scanned before being displayed to other users.
Content found to match known CSAM databases is immediately blocked, flagged for human review, and preserved as evidence.
Behavioral signal monitoring:
Our system tracks behavioral signals that may indicate grooming patterns — such as unusually rapid escalation of conversation topics or solicitation of personal contact information from new connections.
Accounts with abnormal behavioral patterns are flagged for human moderation review.
Human moderation:
A trained moderation team reviews flagged content and accounts. All moderators receive training on identifying child exploitation material and behavior.
User reports about child safety are treated as highest-priority and reviewed as soon as possible, with a target of 24 business hours.
Moderators operate under a documented review protocol that includes escalation paths for law enforcement referrals.
In-app reporting:
Every profile and every conversation has an accessible "Report" button.
Users can report accounts for "Underage user", "Solicitation of a minor", or "Harmful content" categories specifically.
Reports result in immediate account restriction pending review.
05
Enforcement & Consequences
Any user found to have violated this Child Safety Policy faces the following consequences, applied immediately upon confirmation:
Permanent, irrevocable account ban. The account is immediately suspended and then permanently deleted. The associated email address, phone number, and device fingerprint are blocklisted to prevent re-registration.
Preservation of evidence. All relevant content, messages, and account data associated with the violation are preserved in accordance with applicable law to support any law enforcement investigation.
Mandatory reporting to authorities. We are legally and ethically obligated — and committed — to reporting confirmed CSAM or child exploitation activity to the Indonesian National Police (Polri) Cyber Crime division, KOMINFO, and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline where applicable.
No appeal for CSAM violations. Accounts banned for confirmed CSAM possession or distribution are not eligible for appeal under any circumstances.
Parvela does not issue warnings, temporary suspensions, or second chances for child safety violations. The severity of harm to children demands the most definitive response available to us.
06
Reporting Violations
If you encounter any content or behavior on Parvela that you believe involves the exploitation or endangerment of a child, please report it immediately through any of the following channels:
In-app: Tap the three-dot menu on any profile or long-press any message, then select "Report." Choose the category "Child Safety" or "Underage User" for the fastest routing to our trust & safety team.
You may report anonymously. Reports in good faith will never result in any negative action against the reporting user.
07
Cooperation with Authorities
Parvela fully cooperates with law enforcement agencies and child protection organizations. Specifically:
We respond to all valid legal process (subpoenas, court orders, emergency disclosure requests) involving child safety matters on an expedited basis.
Confirmed CSAM is reported to NCMEC's CyberTipline as required by law, and to Indonesian authorities (Polri, KOMINFO) under applicable Indonesian law including the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE Law) and child protection regulations.
We preserve account data and relevant evidence for the legally required period upon receipt of a law enforcement hold request.
Our designated point of contact for law enforcement inquiries is support@parvela.app. Law enforcement agencies requiring emergency assistance should indicate this clearly in the subject line.
